I always wanted to be a part of a New York-based label, so I've worked really hard to try and network with people that I felt would put me in the right place.

Facebook people are finding me that I don't really know. People poke you on Facebook. I'm like, 'Why? Why are you poking me?'

I hate the bad rap that people give my parents. Because they are just parents, really, at the end of the day trying to stand up for their daughter and themselves.

I'm a terrible grocery shopper. I hardly ever do it. And if I do, there's never more than three things in the bag.

I am a big one for subtlety and empathy. My dad was softly spoken and didn't carry his honours and accomplishments for everyone to see.
